Editorial and AI-use policy

Fasset guides are written to inform, not to sell: each one names its sources, shows who reviewed it and when, separates religious, legal and financial opinion from fact, and any AI-assisted draft is fact-checked by a named person before publication.

Who writes and who reviews

Every guide has three roles. An author who knows the subject writes it. A reviewer checks it: the Head of Compliance for regulatory claims, and a qualified Shariah reviewer for religious content. An editor checks sources, dates and plain language before the guide is published.

On this site the byline reads Fasset Research Team and the reviewer line shows a role. Both are placeholders. Before publication each guide needs a named author and a named reviewer, each with a profile page that shows qualifications and a way to verify them.

The 69 posts on the fasset.com blog, counted on 6 October 2026, carry the company's name only. The first guides written under this policy are Is crypto halal?, Is crypto legal in the UAE? and How a USD account works.

Sourcing standards

  • Primary sources come first: regulator registers, laws and rulebooks, and issuers' own reports.
  • Every number carries its source and the date it was read.
  • A company claim is labelled as one. Pages use three labels: verified on the register, stated by the company, to be confirmed.
  • Where published figures contradict each other, none is printed until the conflict is resolved.
  • Guides do not predict prices and do not promise returns.

Religious content

Guides on halal questions summarise published rulings on both sides and say who issued each one. They are not fatwas. A qualified Shariah reviewer signs off each of these guides before publication.

The Shariah reports page on fasset.com labels 240 assets, 188 as compliant and 52 as not compliant, and names no reviewer, method or date. Guides do not rely on those labels, and do not call any Fasset product Shariah-certified, until the certifier and the method are published.

Use of AI

The rule

AI-assisted drafting is fact-checked by a named person before publication.

AI tools may help with a draft, a summary, a title or a description. A named person then checks every fact against its source, approves the page and is accountable for it. The reviewer's name and the date are recorded for each page.

The pages of this concept still carry placeholders: team bylines, reviewer roles and every item marked to be confirmed. Each one must be replaced before publication.

AI is never used to produce pages in bulk or to invent quotes, people, reviews or images of people. Where automation shaped a page in a material way, the page says so.

Updates and corrections

Review cadence
PageReviewed
Fees and limitsEvery 30 days
Licences and regulatory disclosuresWithin 30 days of any change
GuidesEvery 6 to 12 months

A date changes only when the content changes. A correction is noted on the page with its date, and a number is never changed silently. If you find a mistake, report an error.

Commercial independence

Fasset earns fees from the products described on this site. A guide exists to answer the reader's question, so it may link to a Fasset product once, after the question is answered. A comparison with other providers needs first-hand tests with dates. No placement is paid for without a label.

Start from the Fasset Learn hub, read about Fasset, or see how to make a complaint if a correction request is not resolved.
